Courtney Sims Sr. is the Founder and Owner of Sims Computer Company, a faith-based, Black-owned technology business built on obedience, integrity, purpose, and service. Since 2007, Courtney has followed a God-given vision to help people, families, churches, seniors, youth, and small businesses stay connected through reliable and affordable technology solutions.
The vision for Sims Computer Company began when Courtney received a clear dream pointing him toward computers, service, and helping people through technology. What started as an act of faith in a home garage grew into a trusted technology company serving communities across Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. Through dedication, hard work, and obedience, the company expanded from a garage to a rental property, then became part of the Hammond Innovation Center, a business incubator that supported early growth and innovation. Sims Computer Company later expanded to multiple locations, including Hammond, Griffith, and Saint John, Indiana, before continuing its mission in Chicago.
Courtney is known for being hands-on, hardworking, patient, and committed to doing business the right way. His leadership is rooted in honesty, fair pricing, clear communication, and treating every customer with respect and care. To Courtney, technology is more than a service—it is a tool that can restore peace of mind, create opportunity, strengthen businesses, and empower communities.
With nearly two decades of experience, Courtney has built Sims Computer Company into more than a computer repair business. The company provides computer repair, IT support, networking, website development, data recovery, phone repair, video game console repair, electronics recycling, graphic design, logo design, training, and digital literacy support.
